Researchers at Washington State University found in a trial of mice that those who regularly exercised were able to avoid cues to eat unhealthy foods. The findings indicate that exercise can improve a person's discipline and decision making, and prevent them from making poor dietary decisions. Researchers can not determine why this is the case, but they are hopeful that they may have uncovered a new trick to help dieters around the world. "A really important part of maintaining a diet is to have some brain power the ability to say 'no, I may be craving that, but I'm going to abstain," said Dr. Travis Brown, an author of the study and neuroscience researcher.
