A study in women with Type 2 Diabetes who present substantial symptoms of depression and insufficient vitamin D, showed that beyond the difference in the dosage efficacy of vitamin D3 supplementation to treat depressed symptoms, the mood improved with time, regardless of the dosage. Vitamin D has to be studied further as a treatment for depression symptoms in comorbid groups.
