La mejor manera de volver a hacer ejercicio después de las fiestas

Con el amanecer de un nuevo año son muchas las personas que se proponen hacer ejercicio.
Llegó enero y con el nuevo año también llegó el momento de cumplir con las promesas que fueron surgiendo después de cada comida o noche de fiesta durante la época navideña.
Pero tratar de perder los kilos de más y recuperar la forma física no debe ser cuestión de levantarse este fin de semana y salir a correr desaforadamente.
Los expertos en preparación física advierten que volver a hacer ejercicio después de semanas de exceso de comida y bebidas alcohólicas debe ser de una manera paulatina, además de que se deben establecer objetivos realistas a largo y corto plazo para mantener la motivación.
 
Es importante establecer objetivos realistas para no perder la motivación. Es el caso del exatleta olímpico británico y consultor en la ciencia del deporte Greg Whyte, quien compartió con la BBC algunos consejos para poder cumplir con los propósitos de Año Nuevo.
"Lo primero es visualizar lo que se quiere hacer, cuál es el reto que quieres alcanzar. Escríbelo en un papel y busca información de cómo lograrlo", explicó.
"Es bueno tratar de compararte, saber lo que otras personas hicieron y cómo lo hicieron. Hay mucha información en internet. Hay muchas aplicaciones que también te pueden ayudar, que sirven para cruzar esa primera barrera de lo qué es y no es posible", recomienda Whyte.

Exploring the Link Between Circadian Rhythms, Longevity, and Wearable Data: Insights and Future Directions

A recent study in NHANES 2011–2014 explores the potential connection between disruptions in circadian rhythms, measured using wearable devices, and their impact on health outcomes and longevity. The study analyzes data from 7,297 U.S. adults collected through wearable accelerometers as a novel digital biomarker for longevity. Five distinct clusters were identified based on activity profiles: "High activity," "Low activity," "Mild circadian rhythm (CR) disruption," "Severe CR disruption," and "Very low activity." The findings reveal that young adults with extreme circadian rhythm disturbance exhibit higher white blood cell counts and accelerated biological aging.
